Apple Baker Recipes
Just core an apple, put it on the post, drizzle with one tablespoon each butter and water, garnish with raisins, nuts, honey, maple syrup, sweet spices or anything you fancy. Place in a cold oven, then bake 20 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees, Time varies with the size of apple.
Microwave instructions: Prepare apples as above and cook on high for 1 and 1/2 to 3 minutes.
Another Recipe
1 Apple (cored)
1/8 Cup Sugar
1/2 Tablespoons flour
1/2 Teaspoon cinnamon
2 Tablespoons melted butter
1 Tablespoon chopped walnuts
1 Tablespoon water
Core apple and peel (optional). Combine sugar, flour & cinnamon, mix well. Roll apple in melted butter then in sugar mixture. Place in Apple Baker. Put on the nuts and add water. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
The flour in this recipe turns the juice into a caramel.

Spafford History Wanted
I am working on compiling information on Spafford, MN. When I am at a show I hear a lot of "I remember when" or "I grew up in Spafford" so I know the stories are out there. Also interested in older stories retold by children of former residents.
If you could leave your stories in the comments area, I would really appreciate it. I am hoping to get enough of them to dedicate a web page for the subject on the main website complete with historical photos (email me using the contact form if you have any). Don't be afraid to be the first, as there most likely is not a huge amount of former residents/children of past residents to go before you!
Your story may spark a memory that someone else forgot about- and make their day just a little brighter! Thank you for all of your help.

Website facelift then restored
If you have been through here sometime in the past 2 weeks, you will have noticed the look of the main website changed then reverted back.
I like the blog look and so I thought "ummm wouldn't it be cool to have a unified look for all my site". After 2 weeks, I decided I didn't like the look on the main site. At first it was awesome, but I think that was just because I spent so much time creating it that you just had to like it for all the effort that went into it. I will keep the blog look for now, just on the blog pages- and it may change in the future too... but the old main site look is easier to read, and after 2 weeks doesn't become repulsive!
Sorry if you had to deal with the change and felt the same was as I do now about the red and black look!
